Dempster’s Thin Bagels Review

I was recently had the chance to try out Dempster’s Thin Bagels . I am not one to eat breakfast Yes I know I know breakfast is the most important meal of the day and all that but I just never been one to eat breakfast. I bought the  Dempster’s® Thin Bagels - Cinnamon Raisin and at 100 calories per bagel they are yummy but I find the bagels are too thin. I was so very disappointed in these because I love bagels but I thought these were just a tease.

They come in packages of six and are now available across Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada in the bakery aisle at major grocery stores like Co-op Atlantic, Food Basics, Freshco, IGA, Price Choppers, Sobeys, Super C and Walmart.

MY REVIEW

I saw this movie in theater and I really liked it so I jumped on the chance to review Sucker Punch Extended Cut Blu-ray Combo Pack.  I must say I very much prefer the extended cut. There are additional scenes and I found with those scenes the movie was much better. I also loved the animated shorts and the features.  This may not a movie for everyone. If you are into dark action packed movies you might like the movie.

The Tribe Ebook By McCarty Griffin (ebook review)

The tribe has been alone on the farm for many seasons, struggling to survive by their wits and will, unaided by the humans who abandoned them there years ago. Few members of the tribe outside of Tia, the eldest, and her fiercely loyal companion Bella, remember a time when two-legs--the cats' name for humans--lived in the farmhouse. Suddenly, the tribe's territory is invaded by a young two-legs couple, and the frightened cats ask themselves why have two-legs come to live there after so many seasons and what will happen to the tribe at the hands of these often cruel creatures?

MY REVIEW

I had a hard time getting into the first few pages but as I kept reading on I found it got a little more interesting. I thought the story was super cute and I think if you are a animal lover (like me) you most likely will like this book.

Monster Story by McCarty Griffin (ebook review)

Christy McCauley has returned to West Virginia at last, but her homecoming quickly turns into a surreal nightmare. In the deep hollows and woods of rural Augusta County, something unspeakable is slaughtering people in the dark of night. Authorities don't know if its human or animal, or how to stop it. Christy and her friends only know they must hunt it and destroy it, before it kills again.

MY REVIEW

I am not usually into werewolf stories but I do love horror. First off this is not a book for everyone. It is not for the faint of heart so this is not for everyone. I for one am a tough cookie and I do not get scared easily when I read book or watch movies.
Anyways, this book is fantastic. I was hooked from page 1 and couldn't put it down at all.  This book I highly recommend to all who are into horror and fantasy genre.

Half-Inch by McCarty Griffin (ebook review)

Pammy has had enough of Bobby, her abusive drunk of a husband. One lovely spring day, she decides to kill him, despite the fact that they will soon be divorced and he will, at least in the eyes of the law, be out of her life for good. Indulging in homicidal daydreams for years has led her to devise her own perfect and completely bizarre plan.

MY REVIEW

This novella is great. Read it in one afternoon while I was relaxing in the backyard. I think it took me about an hour to read this one.  This is under 70 pages but the story is very well told in those few pages. I was hooked from the very beginning and I highly recommend this novella.

If you want to purchase this book please go to McCarty Griffin's site for the links to where you can find this book online.

HP shopping

I heard people complain about HP but I am one who loves them. My laptop is a HP and it is about 2 years old and never had any problems with it. Our PC is also HP and about 3 years old and never had any problems either.

Just the other day I was just looking to see what is new in HP servers to see what is out there these days. There are many choices these days and there is bound to be one that is just right for you/your business or your family.I for one have found one or 2 that would be great to have. But unfortunately it will have to wait for some time since mine still works great.

Anyways I am most likely buy HP computer or laptop or other products  again.

Joy by Anne L. Watson (book review)

In the Oakland of 1989, Mirai San Julian is a young woman with a fascinating life and a rich past. She restores historic carousels -- her dream career -- working from her own studio in a former roller skating rink. Though black herself, she spent her first years in a Basque immigrant community in Nevada, the adopted child of a single mother. And after the mother's death, she was raised by her Aunt Joy in a Catholic Worker house.
Mirai has a lot going for her -- but then, why is everything suddenly falling apart? Her current, year-long carousel project is veering crazily out of control, in both schedule and budget. The guy who dumped her only months before has shown up married and -- as far as Mirai is concerned -- to the worst possible person. Her mother's death long ago is looking less and less like an accident. And Joy, the one person who has had her complete trust, may know more about that death than she has let Mirai believe.
Mirai knows how to restore a carousel, but can she restore relationships with those she loves? Can she strip the old paint of past wrongs to prepare her life for new, more vibrant colors? And will her eyes be clear enough to spot the brass ring when it finally comes within reach?

MY REVIEW

This is such a great read. I started reading it yesterday and couldn't put it down. Good thing I had nothing else to do  because I just ended up reading this all afternoon long and completely lost track of time. Definitely one I recommend to you all.

Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight) directs a fantasy thriller that puts a haunting twist on the classic fairy tale. Promised in marriage to one man but in love with another, Valerie has her life dramatically affected yet again by the creature’s bloody actions. When a werewolf hunter warns that the beast takes human form by day and walks among them, panic sets in as the death toll rises. And Valerie learns she has a unique connection to the wolf that inexorably draws them together, making her both suspect…and bait. Gary Oldman, Billie Burke, Shiloh Fernandez, Max Irons, Virginia Madsen, Lukas Haas and Julie Christie also star.

Here is the trailer for the movie:

Here is a little clip from the movie

MY REVIEW

This movie is somewhat like Twilight but without the vampires.
I am very much into dark movies and this movie fits in the genre . I was a little worry I would not like this because I was worried that they might have messed up the story but to my surprised i totally enjoyed every minute of this movie. This is a movie I would watch again at some later time.
If you enjoy dark movies or even enjoyed Twilight you might enjoy this movie as well.

I give this a 4 out of 5 stars

The Vampire Club by J.R. Rain and Scott Nicholson (ebook review)

Over 150 years ago, a man was killed with a silver bullet in a rural, Pennsylvanian town. A man who just might be a vampire.

The Vampire Club, a group of misfits who meet regularly in the basement of Western Virginia University’s library, think that they might have found their first documented case of a real vampire. Better yet, the Club thinks that the vampire might still be alive to this day, lying comatose in a hidden grave. And this is good news indeed for a group of vampire lovers.

The hunt begins, and as they close in on their immortal prize, they soon realize that they aren't the only ones interested in the vampire; indeed, a powerful group of killers will use whatever means possible to keep the vampire permanently in its grave.

The first in a series that features The Vampire Club, a group of lovable, laughable, larcenous college students turned vampire hunters.

MY REVIEW

I just finished reading this book last night and I must say this is one book I couldn't put down and it was funny. G’Day LA by Tony McFadden book review

Can Ellie convince the police that her best friend's death wasn't suicide?

Or accidental?

Can she stay alive herself, now that the killer knows what Ellie knows?

And can she find a career in a city that cares more for what's on the outside than on the inside?

Aussie Ellie Bourke came to LA from Australia a year ago to further her acting career. She had no idea she'd have to solve a murder to find that success.

MY REVIEW

I so very much enjoyed this fun read. I thought it was a little slow at the beginning but at least we get to know  the characters.  It is a super good read. I think this is a keeper and I am sure I will be reading it again soon. Highly recommended.

    MY REVIEW
I have used this for 30 days and to be honest it didn't work for me.I still was craving foods and  mid-way between 6:30AM and 12PM I was already hungry. To be honest I have tried better products. all the other reviews I have read for this product were all positive but it just didn't work for me. Maybe it is because I was out of my usual routine because my husband was just back from deployment and all.

Blood For Love (Volume 1) by Chris M. Finkelstein (book review)

This is the story of the life of Jan, a gifted male D’otian living on a violent, predatory planet. His mother Martha is part of a love-preservation network, outlawed by a world in which love is punished by DeathBT.

When the underground network attempts a daring escape into the poisoned wildlands, they inadvertently cause a catastrophic explosion.

The explosion draws the instant wrath of the now doomed NOV, the only remaining nation on D’ot. The escapees take off into the wildlands, with stolen vaccines that they need to survive out there. The wildlands are aptly named.

Jan is guided to a five thousand year old hidden temple, which holds treasures and knowledge never before seen. The escapees begin to hope for a brave new world of peace and freedom, but the NOV continues to haunt Jan’s dreams.

Can the reptilian humanoids overcome their violent nature?

What will they do with freedom?

Can they control what they have found
    in the hidden temple?

Cold! Steel! Justice!!! by Alexander O'Hara (ebook review)

IN PARADISE CITY, ALL HELL IS ABOUT TO BREAK LOOSE...
Renegade ex-cop Christian Beretta was kicked off the Dice City Police Force for being "just too damn violent". Now he's BACK - and teaming up with his old partner/sidekick, the gnarly-but-kindly Chief of Police and his feisty ex-girlfriend (who's resurrected from the dead) for the toughest mission of his life. An evil Irish-born Mayor aims to take over the illegal drug trade and execute criminals on live TV - and only Beretta can stop him...
Cold! Steel! Justice!!! is a tour de force of action, comedy, comic-action, action-comedy, and a whole load of nonsense. Like all the great straight-to-video cop movies you remember from the 1980s, it's packed with suspense, violence, incident, smart quips, daring deeds, racial stereotypes, gratuitous nudity, men wearing bandanas in flagrant contravention of all rules of taste, and at least one scene where a Mexican druglord is incinerated in his own car. As convention dictates.
The renegade but good-hearted Beretta causes mayhem, busts things up, does cool things with big goddamn guns, cracks wise, breaks all the rules, gets the girl and saves the day.
In a world of pain, he's the Novocaine...if Novocaine wore a sexy leather overcoat, smoked 40 filterless a day and carried a hand-cannon so goddamn enormous it makes other hand-cannons wet their underpants.
So stand in line for YOUR fill...of Cold! Steel! Justice!!!

      MY REVIEW

I really enjoyed this book. Not something I would have picked to read since i am pretty picky when I pick up a book but I very much enjoyed this book. It is funny and very well written.
