I was recently contacted to review Truvia Calorie-free sweeteners. I love sugar in my coffee and I am always happy to try out different sweeteners  in my coffee so I couldn't resist accepting.

Anyways, I used this in my coffee first since a box of Truvia arrived just as I was making a cup of coffee. I couldn't even tell the difference.

A few days later I made smoothies for my husband and myself. I used a recipe that is on their site but I made a change to it. The recipe called for 1 cup of strawberries and 1 cup of blueberries but unfortunately I only had a bag of 4 mixed frozen berries so I used that . Did 2 cups of mixed berries instead and I must say it was very good.

Banana Berry Smoothie

  • 1 cup (250 mL) strawberries
  • 1 cup (250 mL) blueberries
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup (250 mL) fat-free plain yogurt
  • 1 cup (250 mL) orange juice
  • 1 cup (250 mL) ice
  • 1 Tbsp (15 mL) + 12 tsp (2.5 mL) Truvía® sweetener spoonable*
  • *or 4 packets Truvía® sweetener
  1. Add all ingredients to blender.
  2. Blend on high until smooth.
  3. Enjoy.

You can  Truvia Calorie-free sweetener is available in Canada in 40 and 80 packet boxes and in  270g spoonable jars  at Loblaws banner stores, Metro, Safeway, Sobey’s and other retailers across Canada.

Would I buy this Truvia sweeteners?  Yes I would and and i will. I love the fact that is is calorie free and I couldn't even tell the difference between these and the regular brand I buy. I highly recommend this.

  1. This was my 1st attempt to get off artificial sweeteners. I liked it! It takes as much as sweet n'low for each cup of coffee/tea(3 packs)..I should say it takes a little getting used to, it is less sweet that sweet n low(since natural sweet is less sweet anyhow) but you get used to it quite fast! and there's no aftertaste or anything like it. If you looking for something natural & with zero calories then you should give it a taste. I didn't like "stevia in the raw"
