MY THOUGHTS

I had heard of this cartoon but I don't think I have ever watched it. I am a child at heart so I decided to review this one.

I was pleasantly surprised because I liked this and I thought it was well done. The cartoon is well made and the voice acting fantastic.  I think I watch this for hours on end on the first day I got it. Very entertaining and not annoying at all like some other cartoons I have seen.

I highly recommend.

I give this 4 out of 5

The Power Rangers battle the dreaded villain Divatox at rapid speed in Power Rangers: In Space, Vol. 1a 3-DVD box set that contains the first 22 episodes of the series. When word reaches the remaining Power Rangers that their founder and mentor Zordon has been captured by a coalition of villains, the remaining Rangers journey into space aboard a NASADA space shuttle in the hopes of rescuing him. Deep in space, they discover the Astro Megaship, the mobile base of operations for Andros, a Power Ranger who grew up on the distant space colony of KO-35. Joining forces, they draw power from their new Astro Morphers to take their fight against evil anywhere necessary and to find Zordon before it’s too late. Fighting a union of all their past villains, led by the monstrous Dark Specter and his trusted captain Astronema, the Rangers are in for the biggest fight the universe has ever seen!

MY THOUGHTS

I have review other DVDs of both these shows before and these are just like the others.  The story is cheesy and acting not all that great but there is a lot of action,  it is interesting, entertaining  and I know children love it.

With its state-of-the-art sophisticated and durable design, the new packaging is perfect for those wishing to add this edition to their home libraries. Also included is Batman: The Birth of the Modern Blockbuster -- a look at the phenomenal marketing, extensive merchandising and franchise foresight that set the template for the next 25 years of tentpole pictures.

In addition to releasing Batman 25th Anniversary Two-Disc Edition, WBHE will also feature the highly anticipated release of the 1960s Batman: The Complete Television Series for the first time ever. Other new home entertainment releases include animated films Son of Batman and Batman: Assault on Arkham.

In announcing the Batman 75th anniversary initiative in March, WB Chairman and Chief Executive Kevin Tsujihara noted, “Batman is an incredibly important property with multi-generational appeal across all of the Studio’s businesses, and we’re proud to celebrate this milestone anniversary. From billion-dollar blockbuster films to TV, home entertainment, video games and consumer products, The Dark Knight continues to resonate with audiences worldwide and rightfully deserves his place as a global pop culture icon for the ages.”

About the Movie

In 1989, director Tim Burton breathed new life into one of the most complex and intriguing characters in popular culture. Burton cast off the 1960s camp depiction of the Dark Knight and launched for Warner Bros. one of the most popular comic book film series ever. Batman was the top-grossing movie that year and subsequently became a global phenomenon.

Tim Burton’s vision and Michael Keaton’s performance as the Caped Crusader combine perfectly to capture Gotham City’s sinister atmosphere and Batman’s brooding nature. Jack Nicholson stars in a memorable performance as the maniacal Joker and Kim Basinger is Vicki Vale, the beautiful and resourceful photojournalist desired by both men. Featuring songs by Prince and a score by Danny Elfman, Batman won the 1990 Oscar® for Best Art Direction/Set Decoration (Anton Furst and Peter Young).

Shadow Kings Review

I know I haven't reviewed many games lately but I have just been so busy these days with other reviews.

I am a big fan of MMO ( Massive Multiplayer Online) games.  Before I started doing reviews I used to play MMOs all the time but these days I haven't have much time to play much. I had some free time this week so I decided to play Shadow Kings and do a review.

Shadow Kings is a free MMO building and strategy game that has been released  this month for Android, iOS and browser.

I first started playing this game in browser on my laptop and decided that if I really liked the game I would download the app on my iPad since I use my iPad more often than my laptop.

Anyway I started playing Shadow Kings yesterday afternoon and I was just going to play for 30 minutes but ended up hooked and played for an hour instead. It is very fun and addicting .

You start by building your settlement, earn resources to survive going forward. You build up an army and can battle against others at enemy outposts.

The graphics are pretty good and actually I found it better than other browser MMO games I have played in the past.

Would I play this again? Heck yes!! I bookmarked it so that I can play again because I find this game fun and plus it is free. Can't go wrong with that . I will also be downloading the game to my iPad.

If you are into MMO building and strategy games and don't mind playing in the browser then I think you will like this one .

I give this 5 out of 5

Keurig Rivo System Review

The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation.

The Keurig Rivo system is a first time innovation for Keurig in the espresso-based beverages category in Canada. It combines the legendary simplicity of the Keurig technology with the authenticity of Lavazza, Italy’s favourite coffee. With a delicious variety of Rivo pack blends, more than 30 coffee options can be prepared using the Keurig Rivo system, for a most delectable experience.

If you have been following my blog for a while you will know that I love coffee and yes I have reviewed quite a bit of coffee in the past few years. I do drink at least one or two cups of coffee per day.

As soon as I received my new Keurig Rivo I just couldn't wait to set it up and I did pretty much right away.  This Keurig is heavier and bulkier than any of the other Keurig systems I have seen and unfortunately I do not have the room on my counter to keep it up on the counter all the time so I will have to store it in a cupboard when I am not using it.

After cleaning it and reading the instructions I made myself a hot cappuccino.

I was quite surprised at how easy it was to make one.
First you need to froth the milk with is super easy. You put milk in the measuring cup up to the line, put cup into it spot and then choose cold frothed milk setting.

Then you put the Rivo pack in the compartment at the top , close the lid and pick which setting you want. I picked short espresso for my cappuccino.

Since I have had my Keurig Rivo I have made hot Cappuccinos but I have mostly made iced cappuccinos because it has been a little too hot out for hot coffee.

The  Keurig Rivo system is now available at participating retailers throughout Canada and at Keurig.ca, for the suggested retail price of $229.99.

My Thoughts

I am very impressed with this machine. I like that it is very easy to use and you can make a variety of different warm and cold coffees. It doesn't take long to make the drinks either.
The espresso packs are $14.99 for a pack of 18 and I think this isn't something I would use every day but I think I will be using it on the weekend because it would end up very expensive if both my husband and I drink a cup or two every morning.

Oh and by the way, the Keurig Rivo's coffee packs are different than the regular Keurig k-cups.
Keurig Rivo pack on the left and K-cup on the right.

I highly recommend .

How many cups of coffee per day do you drink? What kind do of coffee is your favourite?

Candy German July 2014 Review

I am no stranger to candy (snack) subscription boxes and I love the idea of candy and snack boxes because I get to try different kinds of things I wouldn't usually try .

Anyway, I was asked to review Candy German's July box and of course I had to say yes because I love subscription boxes, espceially the ones I get to eat .

What's in the box?

Every box from Candy German you receive will be filled with quality candies picked by hand and made in Germany.

Each box is a surprise. You could find anything from chocolate and wine gums to cookies and marzipan - even the legendary Kinder Egg! Each box has 6-8 items .
Cost- Cost:$38.89/month (29.00 Euros) for just one month or $34.79(26 Eauros) for 6 months or $32.11 (24 Euros) for 12 months.Where ever you are you get free shipping.

They ship on the 15th of each month. Depending on your country, delivery can take up to 15 days.

Here is what was in July box

Katjes Back to the Roots

This black licorice is vegetarian. This soft and mild licorice is called Back to the Roots because one of the first products Katjes ever produced, back in 1910, was a licorice sweet (the Katjes Licorice Kittens). I love black licorice and I loved this one.

Hitschler Apfel Schnüre

Hitschler is a company located in beautiful  Cologne. These a green apple flavoured laces are similar to what I used to buy when I was a child so as I was eating them I had many fond memories of my childhood.  I really liked those.

Feodora Erdbeer Smoozi

The Feodora brand of high-quality chocolates and pralines came into being in 1910 and owes its name to the German Princess Feodora. I loved this and my husband did as well. These are white chocolate and raspberry creamy goodness.

Milka Choco Twist
Milka Choco Twist are mini cakes that are individually wrapped. I really like these because s very fluffy, and there are big Milka chocolate pieces.

Kinder Joy
I think we have all hear of this brand, right?  This is Kinder Joy egg and it is different.  You open up this egg (pull apart) to reveal two seperate sections.  One half has the toy and the other has two chocolate balls in milk cream.  I really enjoyed this one.

Haribo MAOAM

There were 4 or so little fruity chewing candies.  I think the Maoam is what I liked the less in the entire box. They are good but just not the kind of candies I eat.

Zentis Belnuga
The German company Zentis is originally known as a jam producer. After the Second World War fine confectionery products like chocolate and marzipan complemented their assortment. One of it is Belnuga. It has a soft nougat filling surrounded with delicious marzipan and milk chocolate at the outside. I really enjoyed this one.

Coppenrath Spritzgenuss
Coppenrath is a Germany bakery company dating back to the 1930's that is now best known for it's biscuit range.I loved these and I love dipping the chocolate part in my coffee. They are very yummy and I am sure I had them before or something similar.

Overall I am very pleased with Candy German and yes I do recommend their subscription box.  I am actually thinking of subscribing myself because I love trying new snacks.

I highly recommend Candy German
