From  director Ridley Scott  comes a gripping tale of human strength and the will to survive. During a mission to Mars, American astronaut Mark Watney is presumed dead and left behind. But Mark Watney is still alive. Against all odds, he must find a way to contact Earth in the hope that scientists can devise a rescue plan to bring him home.
This movie is based on the novel The Martian by  Andy Weir.

MY THOUGHTS

I admit I really didn't think I would like this movie. Both the book and the movie sounded interesting but this isn't usually the kind of movie I usually watch .

I don't know if it is true to the book because I have not read it but I loved this movie.  It is very well done and it kept me entertained until the very end.  Parts were funny and parts kept me at the edge of my seat.

I highly recommend this movie.

I give The Martian 4 1/5 out of 5 stars.
