KitchenAid KP26M1XER Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer

I had owned a cheap mixer for a while and it did work great for what I was using it for at the time but in the past couple of years, I have been baking more.  I started making homemade pizza dough and bread and found my mixer was really struggling so I decided it was time to get something more heavy-duty.  After lots of research and tons of reviews, I would like a KitchenAid stand mixer.

I had added the KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Bowl-Lift stand mixer to my amazon Wishlist and kept looking on Amazon and in different Canadian stores to see when it was going on sale.  These mixers are quite pricy.

Luckily enough it was on sale at CAD $379.99 (the regular price is usually over $500) so I told my husband it was on sale and that I really want it and he actually bought it for me.

When it arrived I took it out of the box and cleaned it right away.

I tell you this mixer is powerful.  It wasn't struggling at all with pizza dough or even with big batches of chocolate chip cookies it didn't struggle at all.

The KitchenAid Pro 6 is quite heavy at 29 lb.  I knew it would be heavy and so I decided to leave it on the counter and just push it in a corner so that it’s out of the way and it would be easy to just pull forward when I need it which is a few times per week.

My Thoughts

First of all, if you do not have much counter space then this KitchenAid mixer is probably not for you, unless you don’t mind lifting this 29 lb mixer.

I have been using my mixer for a couple of months now and I am loving it.  I thought maybe it would be loud but it isn’t so bad.  My husband can be in the living room and he barely even hears it. This one is much quieter than my old ( different brand) mixer.

As I said earlier the KitchenAid Pro 6 is so powerful it can handle more than 4 dozen chocolate chip cookies.

One thing is the first few times I tried to put the bowl on the mixer I had a hard time but I quickly went on Youtube to watch a video on how to put the bowl on and how to remove the bowl.

Am I happy that my husband purchased this one for me?  Oh heck yes. I am so happy with it and I now even have a cover for it. I do highly recommend this if you love to bake.

You can purchase  The KitchenAid Professional 600 Series wherever small appliances are sold.
