MY REVIEW

First of all I have to say I have super short and thin lashes that you can barely even see. I have tried this mascara for about 2 weeks now and it didn't even do anything to my lashes  and I really actually it kept smudging on my lower lid. I so wanted to like this product because all the other reviews I have read were all good . Maybe because my eye lashes are super short I should give it a little bit more time.
The Envyderm mascara costs $36US and  I am cheap I do not see myself buying this mascara ever again in the future.I think I will stick to my cheap mascara.
Maybe you will like it better than I did. Please feel free to enter in the giveaway and if you win you can try it out and judge for yourself if it is a good product or not.

Into the Lion's Heart by Beth Trissel

Instead, he's conquered by the simplicity of his new charge. And his best friend Thomas Archer isn't immune to her artless charm, either.
Cecile Beaumont didn't choose to travel across the Channel. And she certainly didn't expect that impersonating her own mistress would introduce her to a most mesmerizing man. Now she must play out the masquerade, or risk life, freedom – and her heart.

Chasing the Red Car by Ellen Ruderman

Transplanted from her home in the Bronx to the burgeoning San Fernando Valley of 1947, Kim LeBow is faced with trouble on every side. Her home life is rocky and emotionally unpredictable, and the McCarthy-era communist witch hunts strike all around, threatening Kim's father and even reaching into her high school.
The political struggles and personal cataclysms that follow change Kim from an open and caring young girl into a political activist and educator, while leaving emotional scars that only time-and the return of the great love of her life-are able to heal.
Drawing parallels between the political repression of the 1950s and the abuses of executive power after 9/11, Chasing the Red Car reminds us that all politics is personal and that the truth of George Santayana's maxim about history repeating itself can be seen all around us every day.

MY REVIEW

I was a little worried that I might not like this book because it is not my usual kind of books I would read. I was very wrong. I very much enjoyed every minutes so much so that I could not put it down and had to read it all yesterday. Very well written and will make you want to keep reading.  I am very certain that a lot of you will very much enjoy this one.

If you want to purchase this book you can do so at amazon.com and Barnes&Noble . I checked and Canadians can buy it at Chapters so I am pretty sure you can buy it in most big chain bookstores (but don't quote me on that).

Cage Life by Karin Cox

This collection of short stories by Karin Cox explores the choices and compromises we make in love, and how they can trap or liberate us depending on our mindset. Each story comes with an unexpected twist that makes reading all the way to the end imperative.

In "Cage Life," first published by [untitled] magazine in 2010 as "Still Life", a young mum feels like a prisoner in her own home. Her decision to escape the bonds of marriage and motherhood, just for a few hours, has unexpected consequences that force her to a re-evaluate what it really means to be loved, to be married, and to be free.

In "The Usurper," unconditional love is explored within the boundaries of age and longing. Basil is in his eighties, with an illustrious career in law enforcement behind him, when he meets Carla — a beautiful, energetic and much younger mistress. But when Simon appears on the scene, can Basil keep her or does she, in fact, keep him.

Foundation for the Lost by Scott Rhine

No good deed goes unpunished.

A Kabbalah magician, Aaron Walker has devoted the last hundred years of his life to his Foundation, a charity that helps widows, orphans, and the stranger in the land. It doesn't get much stranger than the Lost: male witches who don't have parents to train them in the arts. Now, corporate wizards are trying to kill him, and he has no idea why.

With a handful for former students, he hops from one hidden enclave of cultural magic to another, hoping to survive long enough to contact the witches of New Salem. But the assassins don't scare Aaron as much as the price the witch Rose demands for her aid--to father a child. To keep his magic and save the world, he must remain a virgin. Merodak, the demon, a way out but he's a pathological liar with a twisted sense of humor.

An urban fantasy with humor that starts like a hardboiled detective novel and continues with non-stop action. Readers on authonomy said they could hear each character's unique voice.

Fractured Time by Alan Draven (ebook review)

Donovan Vicar is a "feeler"-a man who feels the vibrations of people around him. One October evening on his way home, he bumps into a man that he senses to be particularly evil, and he embarks on a late bus ride to seek him out. As the empty bus leaves the station in foggy Bitternest, Louisiana, Donovan falls asleep. When he wakes up, he is disoriented by what he sees-he is still in Bitternest, only his surroundings seem more primitive and unfamiliar. He is shocked to realize that he has traveled back in time to the year 1957 and that the city is plagued by the mysterious disappearances of numerous young women.

Everything points to Timothy Crane, a man alleged to have many shady associations and rumored to be dabbling in black magic. Aided by Ritchie Campbell, a young man with his share of dark secrets, and his old friend Edgar Ward, Donovan finds himself caught up with the events unfurling in Bitternest. He is slowly coming to terms with his gifts as a "feeler" and only begins to get a glimpse of all the power brewing inside him.

The stakes are raised and everything culminates into one fateful night leaving them less than a week to figure out what Crane is really up to and how to stop him. It might also be Donovan's only chance to ever get back home...

MY REVIEW

I really needed to get a new subscription for security software so when I got invited to do this campaign I jumped on the chance to try it out.  I was using Norton before and I have been using it for the past 7 years but I had heard some great things before about Trend Micro.

Anyways after a little over a week of using Trend Micro’s Titanium Maximum Security 2012 I am now confident enough to post my review.
I have I scanned my computer 3 times so far and I didn't have a virus but the software stopped a bunch of web threats.A full virus scan time takes a while just like any other software and of course the  time will vary on how much stuff is one your computer. But all in all it is a decent software I think. It does what it is supposed to do and it is a little cheaper than my Norton subscription was so that is also a good thing right?

Confessions of a Catholic Cop by Thomas Fitzsimmons

Confessions of a Catholic Cop is a gripping thrill ride and a first-rate mystery. Author, and ex-New York City cop Thomas Fitzsimmons takes the reader on a journey through the gritty Bronx underbelly, a journey which includes characters from the highest class of Fifth Avenue executives, corrupt cops, shady bar owners, and honest beat cops. The story follows an honest Bronx cop (who also moonlights as a supporting character on 'Law and Order') and his troubled partner as they try to uncover a string of mysterious arsons surrounding a Bronx city block that has been ear-marked for demolition by a Manhattan real estate tycoon. As clue after clue brings them deeper and deeper into a massive potential cover-up, they try, perhaps in vain, to hold on to their jobs as police officers. Confessions of a Catholic Cop starts out strong and never lets up. The action is non-stop and the mystery is involving. A perfect summer read. A breathless page-turner.

It is the autumn of 1999. A year has passed since Lucy Darby’s unexpected death, leaving her husband David and son Whitley to mend the gaping hole in their lives. David, a trauma-site cleanup technician, spends his nights expunging the violent remains of strangers, helping their families to move on, though he is unable to do the same. Whitley – an 11 year-old social pariah known simply as The Kid – hasn’t spoken since his mother’s death. Instead, he communicates through a growing collection of notebooks, living in a safer world of his own silent imagining.

As the impending arrival of Y2K casts a shadow of uncertainty around them, their own precarious reality begins to implode. Questions pertaining to the events of Lucy’s death begin to haunt David, while The Kid, who still believes his mother is alive, enlists the help of his small group of misfit friends to bring her back. As David continues to lose his grip on reality and The Kid’s sense of urgency grows, they begin to uncover truths that will force them to confront their deepest fears about each other and the wounded family they are trying desperately to save.
