Devil's Due Blu-ray Giveaway

EVEN TRUE LOVE CANNOT ESCAPE PURE EVIL

Pleased to Meet You: A Look at the Film’s Stars

Get the Blu-ray™ and DVD Combo Pack on April 29

After a mysterious night on their honeymoon, Zach and Samantha McCall (Zach Gilford, Allison Miller) find themselves dealing with an earlier-than-planned pregnancy. While recording everything on video for posterity, Zach begins to notice odd behavior in his wife that they initially attribute to nerves, but it soon becomes evident the disturbing changes to Samantha’s body and mind have a much more sinister origin. Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, part of the quartet of filmmakers known as Radio Silence (V/H/S), and produced by John Davis (Chronicle), Devil’s Due utilizes a found footage-style of storytelling to deliver an emotional, character-driven thriller that showcases supernatural scares, and disquieting dread.

In celebration of Devil’s Due Blu-ray™ and DVD’s release, we present to you a look at the film’s stars.

Zach Gilford – Zach

Zach Gilford is the handsome boy next door best known for playing Matt Saracen on NBC’s popular TV show, Friday Night Lights. Most of his roles had set him in a good guy persona, and he hopes to one day land a role outside that category. This summer, he will appear alongside his real-life wife Kiele Sanchez in The Purge: Anarchy. In Devil’s Due, Gilford plays Zach, a newlywed who is determined to videotape his new wife’s pregnancy and, later, figure out who and what is behind her abnormal symptoms.

Allison MillerSamantha
Allison Miller is best known for playing Princess Michelle Benjamin on the television drama series Kings. Miller is a talented young actress and can apparently sing really well! She is married to comedian and actor Adam Nee and is set to appear in a romantic comedy alongside Katey Segal, Brittany Snow, and James Wolk called There’s Always Woodstock. Allison Miller plays Samantha McCall, wife to Zach Gilford’s character in Devil’s Due. Samantha deals with a very emotional and horrific pregnancy after a cult performs a ritual on her and her husband while they are on their honeymoon in the Dominican Republic.

Devil’s Due will be available on Blu-ray™ and DVD Combo Pack on April 29, 2014 from Twentieth Century Fox Entertainment.

Birthdays on a Budget

Marketing mavens work very hard to make people feel birthdays are all about the amount of money spent on the occasion. The sad thing is that so many people are on tight budgets, these days. Yet even many of the most grounded consumers are often driven to overspend when they can least afford to do so. Whether putting items on credit or skipping out on bills in order to buy that “perfect” gift, the aftermath of over-extension can be incredibly detrimental to individuals and families. So if a birthday for a little one is coming up but the money is lacking, consider the following tips for doing affordable birthdays.

Attention and effort is key: There are so many free and low-cost ways to make children feel special on their birthday. First off, plan a homemade cake. If you can't bake well then enlist the help of a culinary friend or family member. Decorations can be reused from other parties or bought inexpensively at discount stores. Simply taking the time to be there for one's child will mean so much more than the latest video game, so don't spend your child's day working to pay for some toy they'll soon lose interest in. Go out, play catch or hide-and-seek—make the day all about them by fixing their favourite meal and inviting a small group of friends to stay over. As for gifts, purchase or make a bunch of little things and then take the time to wrap them all individually so your child can enjoy opening more. For that one big purchase, kangaroopaydayloans.com can help.  Above all, listen; in the weeks leading up to the birthday pay attention to all the little wants your child expresses and then purchase some on the sly or make a mental note and come back later. When adults really hear their children it's a gift far beyond mere money.

Call in favours: Never forget that barter can act as real currency. Take a look at all your closest friends and their talents and skillsets and then put them to work. For instance an arts teacher can most likely devise a pinata for children to enjoy and candies can be bought inexpensively with the right search. A carpenter friend can create furniture or wooden toys, just as painters can do face-painting at a party in exchange for your assistance in another venture. When dealing with financial constraints it is very important not to lose a sense of self-worth. Everyone has unique talents that have nothing whatsoever to do with one's bank account. So remember to ask for help to ensure your child will have the best birthday, ever.

Buy used: Children go through toys and clothes so quickly that many look as if they've never been used! If your child has always wanted a game you approve of or some brand-name shoes then first try to find them second-hand before buying new. Also look online to see if any deals can be found but remember to factor in shipping costs to see if online items are really a deal, after all. Ebay is also a great source for used items as sellers have to be very candid about condition in order to get favourable approval ratings. Just be sure to read seller's notes before purchasing anything and also note what day the item is expected to arrive.

Share the Burden
Turning the party into a potluck can help keep the financial burden from resting with any one person. Simply make a list of requested items and note who will be bringing what so that there will be a variety of dishes. For a child's party make sure the foods are particularly appealing to little ones. Fun food should be the ticket. Also remember to make note of anyone's allergies and mark dishes clearly. If a costly present is hoped for then have numerous friends go in together on one larger present. By sharing some of the financial responsibilities with many, each individual will feel less of a strain.

Birthdays don't have to cost much to be special. Simply take a realistic look at how to celebrate on a budget and ask for help from friends.

MY REVIEW

I didn't have any expectations with this movie. I saw the trailer a few times and really it didn't look that interesting and it looked like it would be a confusing movie.

I was surprised that it actually didn't confuse me and that I enjoyed this movie.  It isn't one of my favourites but it did keep me entertained and I might watch it again in a few years.
The acting was good and the story-line was good as well .

Do I recommend it? Yes if you like this kind of movie. I know a few people who would love this one.

'Earn to Die' Game Review

Car games give players the chance to drive, race, and soar through the air like never before. These titles are some of the most popular free games available on the internet. Gamers can engage in deadly races, speed across 3D courses, and perform stunts in modified vehicles. For a more relaxing challenge, there are plenty of simple, fun car games filled with rolling terrain and easier opponents. Earn to Die, the subject of this review, is not a relaxing game.

The title screen of Earn to Die features a turret-equipped truck running over a zombie. Based on the desert backdrop, it is clear that we're in for an offroad challenge. "Now with Super Wheel!" is listed below the title; I'm not sure what that means, but it probably isn't good for the enemies of our truck. Upon entering the main menu, we see the ability to save and load games. Perhaps our zombie-killing efforts won't go to waste.

The opening cutscene shows our main character stranded in the desert. He needs a car to reach the rescue helicopter on the other side of the sandy environment. We begin by purchasing a small hatchback vehicle, which can be replaced by a pickup truck or big rig for more cash. Our car's engine, wheels, boost power, and main weapon are all upgradeable. On the first day, we have no money for improvements. It's time to hit the desert road.

Earn to Die features standard car game controls: up, down, left, and right to accelerate, brake, and tilt, respectively. The first mission begins by sending us down a steep hill. I press the accelerator, roll across the desert, and...that's it? I hit one zombie and ran out of fuel after travelling 190 ft. It appears that we may need to conserve fuel during each run -- a factor that was not mentioned in the instructions. The $119 I earned was enough to purchase additional fuel and upgrade my shabby car's wheels. Time for another drive.

Feeling a bit wiser, I waited until reaching the bottom of the hill to accelerate. On Day 2, this strategy yielded an additional 4 ft. of travel. I encountered the same lone zombie and was stopped by the same upturn in the terrain. My initial reaction: this isn't very fun. Many trials later, as costly upgrades improved my vehicle's performance, I began to make progress. I felt a small sense of accomplishment as I crossed additional hills and ran over more zombies.

Overall, I did not thoroughly enjoy the repetition within Earn to Die. Result: 3 out of 5 stars. For a vast selection of other games, I highly recommend GamesFreak.net.

After she receives unexpected news about herself, a 17-year-old girl (Ramm) experiences an exciting, yet challenging life in and out of the rodeo circuit in this wonderful coming- of-age story. Filled with heart, horses and high-reaching adventure, Cowgirls ’N Angels 2: Dakota’s Summer is an uplifting reminder that with courage, friendship and passion, anything is possible.

MY REVIEW

I had never heard of this movie or even of the first movie until just recently.  It isn't something I would usually watch but I decided to give it a chance.

I watched Cowgirls 'N Angels 2 the other day and I was pleasantly surprised to find that I actually enjoyed this movie. It is very well done and the acting was pretty good .

Would this be one I would personally watch again? I might watch it again in a year or two but it isn't one I absolutely have to watch again .

I recommend this movie

I give this 3 out of 5

SpringPublisher: The Smart Choice for Small or Big Business

It's a digital and mobile world. You know it.  I know it.  The clients and prospects know it.  If you're hoping to stay viable in the fast-moving and always progressing world of contact and data then you need to stay relevant.
Today people can exchange contact info with the bump of a smartphone (both iOS and Android have similar features).  Who is to say, though, that the person who is trying to share contact information is going to have the right platform and mobile operating system to do it with?
That's why business cards are still such a viable option these days despite current advancements.  When someone has a business card they may never use it.  However, when someone that they know is looking for a service or certain business that person may very well reach into their back pocket, pull out your business card and say, "I know a guy".
It's important for small business owners, big business reps and-yes, even the lone marketer-to always carry plenty of business cards.  As long as they trendy, attractive and contain more than just some text with a couple of numbers.  Enter, SpringPublisher.  They do it right!

How is SpringPublisher Different?
There is more than one business card, brochure and flyer suite on the market today.  Each has a different company name but really, they're all the same.  SpringPublisher recognized the need to "spice up" the business card market and has done so successfully.
SpringPublisher's interactive, online platform puts you directly in charge of the way your business cards and brochures will look and be formatted.  Perhaps the most interesting options with SpringPublisher templates are the option of having a map and/or a QR code added to business cards.
The map is really convenient when needing directions to the business or person the individual is trying to get in contact with.  Remember, people want to feel important so when they're delivering the "I know a guy" line they can also add "and this is where he's located."
The QR code allows your main clients and prospects that you actually have your business card in their possession to be marketers for you!  They can let their contacts scan the QR code and that will help to multiply your efforts.

Lastly, and maybe most important, is the price of SpringPublisher.  You can opt to go with the free version which comes with the creation suite and a few templates, or you can go with the pro version for $23.95 and get more templates, high-quality output features and commercial usage rights.
Small Business uses for SpringPublisher
Besides wanting to look trendy and professional with a sharp looking business card, you actually want to have business cards.  This hasn't always been possible because it can get downright expensive to keep ordering them along with flyers and brochures.  SpringPublisher allows the small business owner and their reps to actually have the kind of modern business card that everyone in the business world should have today and for a reasonable price.
SpringPublisher for Big Business
How many times have you been handed a stuffy and boring business card from a business or individual that has been working out of the same box of business cards for years?  They're ugly and they scream "old".  SpringPublisher will add modern touch with features that today's clients actually understand and appreciate, like QR codes.
And don't forget, both small and business can use any of the features in SpringPublisher's suite to also add trend and character to customer and employee newsletters, brochures and more.

For 20 years, the highly entertaining saga and fan favorite characters from Power Rangers have captivated children and adults alike and are beloved by legions of fans worldwide.

MY REVIEW

I always found the Power Rangers story lines were a little cheesy and acting was ok . I know a lot of kids who still watch it so I guess maybe I feel this way because I am old ? But seriously I did find myself enjoying this one.

My nephews really like this show because it is action packed and fun to watch.
If your child likes Power Rangers tv show they will like it on DVD.

I give Power Rangers Turbo: Volume One 4 out of 5 stars .
