MY REVIEW
I do not often read werewolves stories often but I got asked to review this and well since it is Halloween time and did not have any plans for the weekend  I decided to read this.
Wow!  What a great bunch of stories. Some were longer and others and some I did enjoy more than others but it kept me reading up to  the end of the entire ebook. None of these stories scared me but I am not easy to scare.

I think you will like this if you are into werewolves stories

Thursday Thistle: A Fairy Tale by August V. Fahren ebook review

Lethe: le the noun 'le-the

1: A dark, forgotten land from which all of our fairytales originated.

2: A Post apocalyptic realm of twisted, magic wielding royalty locked in battle with a race of technologically superior Guardians (who seek to snuff out magic forever).

3: The world Thursday Thistle has journeyed to in order to locate Princess Monday, one of seven paranormal princesses each named after a day of the week.

In a world where speaking with "wise men" is more like dealing with tech support and romance can be deadly Thursday will have to contend with: the wicked cannibal queen, a zombie grizzly bear, wee werewolves, robot laser-shooting mermaids, a steampunk tortoise, and a Zen archer monkey.

Additionally, she will meet the Schumacher Hound and find a haunted Halloween cuckoo clock temple and that's just the beginning in this tale of whimsical wandering in the dreamlike tradition of Alice in Wonderland.

MY REVIEW

I little different than what I am used to reading. Thursday Thistle is a mix of a bunch of fairy tales mixed with horror. The sex scenes are a little weird for my taste but the book was good enough to keep reading anyways .

I wear my rings every day and pretty much 24 hours per day. Only time I take them off if when I wash dishes or take a bath or shower and where the rings are my fingers are pretty dry and sometimes between the fingers I peel.  Anyways I have been using the Basa Body Coconut Oil Body Lotion on my hands mostly since they are the problem areas and I admit that my hands are nice and soft and my ring finger isn't peeling, plus I love the smell of coconuts on my hands.   I highly recommend this product.

Nielsen-Massey Organic Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract Review & Giveaway (NOW CLOSED)

Hello everyone,
I recently received a bottle of Nielsen-Massey Organic Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract to review. I love food and I love vanilla so i was super excited to try this one out.   First here is a little bit of info:

Nielsen-Massey Vanillas has been producing premium pure vanilla products since 1907. From its ever-popular Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla to custom blends and flavors created for specific customer needs, Nielsen-Massey has earned the reputation as the producer of fine vanillas worldwide.  All Nielsen-Massey’s vanilla products are Kosher certified, Gluten-free certified, and they have been a certified organic producer since 1998.  As a family owned and managed business, Nielsen-Massey is committed to and truly cares about its customers. With this commitment comes a pledge to continue producing the world’s finest Pure Vanillas batch after batch – a promise that has been kept for nearly a century.

Now here is the recipe I have tried from their site

Eggplant Parmesan

2 eggplant
Salt
1 cup finely diced yellow onion
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 (28-ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
1 (29-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon Nielsen-Massey Organic Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons dried organic Italian seasoning
1 bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
5 eggs
1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
2 cups plain dry bread crumbs
1 cup (4 ounces) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
2 teaspoons dried organic parsley
1 pound provolone cheese, sliced
1/2 cup (2 ounces) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Peel the eggplant and cut crosswise into 1/4-inch thick slices. Arrange in a single layer over a paper towel-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt to sweat.
Sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil in a large saucepot until translucent. Stir in the tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, vanilla extract, cinnamon, Italian seasoning, bay leaf, 1/2 teaspoon salt and the pepper. Simmer, covered, for one hour, stirring occasionally. Remove the bay leaf.
Beat the eggs lightly in a shallow dish. Combine the flour, bread crumbs, 1 cup Parmesan cheese and the parsley in a shallow dish and mix well. Dry the eggplant slices with paper towels. Dip each slice into the eggs and then dredge in the bread crumb mixture to coat. Place on a baking sheet coated with nonstick cooking spray. Spray both sides of the eggplant slices with nonstick cooking spray. Broil on high for 2 to 3 minutes, turning when the bread crumbs turn golden brown.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Coat a medium casserole with nonstick cooking spray. Cover the bottom of the dish with a small amount of the tomato sauce. Layer the eggplant, provolone and remaining sauce until all the ingredients are used, ending with the sauce. Sprinkle 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese over the top. Bake for 30 minutes or until the cheese begins to brown. Remove from the oven and let stand for 10 minutes.
Note: Sweating with salt removes the bitterness and moisture from the eggplant.
Serves 6 to 8

Decoy (Assassin's Rising) by S.B. Sebrick

The last few grueling years of training have served Kaltor well. He’s learned to harness the magic within his body, overcome a stronger opponent, avoid capture, and everything else an assassin-in-training needs to survive.
Or so he thought.
But when those they protect at an excavation site release a demon from the Abyss itself, Kaltor realizes just how poorly prepared they all are for what’s coming. Within a single night, their mining camp of one thousand people plummets to a couple hundred terrified survivors, the majority turned against each other by the demon’s potent abilities. Then she turns towards Shaylis, the largest city in the region, for the next stage of her plan.
In a constant battle of both steel and strategy Kaltor and his friends struggle to delay, deceive and defeat their opponent, who’s spent the last thousand years planning out every detail of her assault to perfection. As the number of casualties mounts and her final plan comes to light, Kaltor is left with only one option. He must draw on the secret power within himself, knowing if his true identity is discovered, his life and the fate of the world, will be changed forever.

    Thanksgiving

I know I have been a little slow on my blog during the past few days but I have been not feeling so well. Then on Monday it was Thanksgiving here in Canada.
We stayed home on Thanksgiving and I made a big dinner. Made mashed potatoes, veggies, stuffing and turkey  and for desert we had pumpkin pie.
Once we had finished eating dinner was done we washed the dishes and then I finally was able to sit back and relax. I was going to do some reading but we ended up playing a video game insteads.

    How was your weekend?

Candy and Cigarettes by CS DeWildt

In the face of revenge, innocence is meaningless.

Death is omnipresent to small-town loner Lloyd Bizbang. Today proves no exception. After being attacked yet again by a pair of sociopaths who have targeted him since childhood, Lloyd stumbles upon a sight he wishes he could unsee in the town junkyard. Now as he just tries to live through another day, the bodies are stacking up in the town of Horton, and Lloyd finds himself connected to each of them via the drug-and-drink-addled, unhinging police chief, yet another person who has an old score to settle with Lloyd. A game of revenge and survival is underway, but will there be a winner at the day’s end?

    About the Author:
CS DeWildt lives and writes in Tucson, Arizona. He is currently working on a novel and a collection of shorts. His work has been showcased on sites like Bartleby Snopes, Word Riot, The Bicycle Review, Writer’s Bloc and Mobius Magazine.

    MY REVIEW

Candy And Cigarette is a dark and a little scary novella. Not one of my favourite novella but it did keep me reading . I feel like the story bounced around quite a bit and if it were a full length novel I most likely would not have been able to read it all because of all the bouncing around in this one . That is why I only give it 3 out of 5 stars.

    WB Holiday Titles

I love the holidays and since I can remember even if I can not  celebrate the Holidays with friends and family my tradition is to watch as many Holidays movies as possible.

Here are some WB Holiday titles that are coming out on DVD and BluRay soon.

    Frosty’s Winter Wonderland, Deluxe Edition
Frosty the Snowman's marriage is threatened by jealous Jack Frost.

    The Smurfs Holiday Celebration

Twas the Night Before Christmas (BD)

For some unexplained reason, letters to Santa Claus are being returned to the children of Junctionville. It seems some sour soul has angered St. Nick, calling Christmas "a fraudulent myth!" The skeptical rodent Albert Mouse has to be brought to his senses "and let up a little on the wonder why." How Albert is persuaded to change his tune paves the way for Santa's jolly return to Junctionville -- and the joyous finale of this charming animated fable inspired by Clement Moore's poem.

    Scooby-Doo! Mystery Inc. Season 1 Volume 3
