Life Is Good award

In order to accept this award, I must answer the 10 questions below and pass the award to six fellow bloggers. Thank you Glamour Girl Reviews for this award

1. If you blog anonymously, are you happy doing it that way; if you are not anonymous do you wish you had started out anonymously so you could be anonymous now?  I don't really blog anonymously.. I mean I do use my real name and I have posted the city I live in. I haven't posted any pics of me and my family yet though but I might in the future.

2. Describe one incident that shows your inner stubborn side.   I am sure there are plenty but I can't even think of any right now... sorry.

3. What do you see when you really look at yourself in the mirror? I see a geek lol

4. What is your favorite summer cold drink? water and ice tea

5. When you take time for yourself, what do you do? take a nice long hot bath and read a good book

6. Is there something you still want to accomplish in your life? What is it?  I would love to go to school and get into counseling. I would love to help people who have social phobias.

7. When you attended school, were you the class clown, the class overachiever, the class shy person, or always ditching school? Unfortunately I was always ditching school and completely quit school when I was 16.

8. If you close your eyes and want to visualize a very poignant moment in your life, what do you see? The day my fiance asked me to marry him.

9. Is it easy for you to share your true self in your blog or are you more comfortable writing posts about other people or events? No not very easy at all.. but I am a shy and reserved person.

10. If you had the choice to sit and read or talk on the phone, which would you do and why? I would  choose to read. Not really a phone person.

Now I have to send this “Life Is Good” Blog Award on to 6 other bloggers! So many good ones to choose from.

Bluewater Seafoods Review & Giveaway (5 Winners!!)----CLOSED

Recently while we were right in the middle of getting ready to move .I was contacted and offered to review some of the BlueWater Seafoods. Unfortunately the review and giveaway had to be put on hold until we were all settled in our new home.

Let me tell you, we are not big fish or seafood eaters in this house but we absolutely loved the English Style Fillets.
I love the fact that it is quick to heat up in the oven. It is perfect for days where you don't really feel like cooking or you forgot to take something out the night before.

We will definitely be buying some in the near future. I am thinking since I still have an other coupon I might get something else and try one of the recipes in the BlueWater Seafoods website.

I was reading in the site and learned that BlueWater Seafoods is a Canadian company that has been around for over 50 years. It is located in Lachine, Quebec.

ALL I EVER WANTED by Kristan Higgins

ALL I EVER WANTED
by Kristan Higgins

Description on the back of the book

One happily-ever-after rocking chair…

And no sign of any forthcoming babies to rock in ol’ Georgebury, Vermont. For Callie Grey, turning thirty means coming to grips with the fact that her boss (and five-week fling) is way overdue in his marriage proposal. And way off track, because Mark has suddenly announced his engagement to the company’s new Miss Perfect. If that isn’t bad enough, her mom decides to throw her a 3-0 birthday bash in the family funeral home.

Bad goes to worse when she stirs up a relationship with the town’s most eligible — yet not so warm and fuzzy — veterinarian, Ian McFarland, in order to flag Mark’s attention. So Ian’s more comfortable with animals… So he’s formal, orderly and just a bit tense. The ever-friendly, fun-loving and spontaneous Callie decides it’s time for Ian to get a personality makeover. But, dang — if he doesn’t shock the heck out of her, she might actually fall for Vermont’s unlikeliest eligible bachelor…

My Review

Upcoming CSN Stores Review

I have done 2 giveaways for CSN Stores and when i was contacted again recently I have decided that this time I will do a review.

CSN Stores have over 200 stores to choose from so this will be a tough decision. So many things too look at that I might end up spending hours in their site trying to decide what I want.

Maybe I will get shoes? Or maybe a new handbag?Or toys for my new puppy? Or maybe buy furniture like one of their many bistro sets ?Or maybe I will buy a Ottawa Senators clock from my fiance? Or maybe some holidays stuff for our new house? So many stores and so many things to buy. Well whatever I get I will be blogging about it and post my review so stay tuned.

Let's Do Lunch Eating all the Calories and Carbs you want to lose weight! By Roger Wilson

Book Description

Roger Troy Wilson weighed 425 pounds and had a 5-foot waist. He had given up on losing weight and prayed that he would die and go to Heaven.
After fifteen years of experimenting with different foods and eating patterns, he discovered how to actually have fun losing weight easily---almost the complete opposite of most diets. He lost 230 pounds and 24 inches from his waist.
Today Wilson has maintained his weight loss for years. “You do not need to exercise or count carbs. You can do it without portioning and shakes and chemicals,” says Wilson. In Let's Do Lunch, he reveals:
* the dumbest thing we all do that keeps us from losing weight
* which “non-fattening” foods are actually fattening
* special ways to eliminate cravings
* where to go and what to get when you want to eat something quick
Once you’ve read Let’s Do Lunch, you’ll never think of eating any other way.
.
My Review

I must admit I am overweight and have been for about 5 years now. I really wasn't excited about getting this book to review because most weight loss books I have read I found to be boring and the recipes always were kind of boring.
I started reading this book one afternoon and I couldn't put it down. For once a interesting diet book with nice tasting recipes that are easy to make!

Would I recommend this book? Yes I do highly recommend it. You will love this book as much as I do and will find the food yummy.
I give this 4 stars out of 5

not happy with our mower

This morning I wanted to mow the lawn. We have one of those cordless battery lawn mowers from Canadian Tire. I think we got it maybe 4 years ago.

Anyways I mowed the lawn and about halfway through the backyard the battery completely died on me. Our backyard isn't really that big either. Now the lawn looks funny and it will take an other 12 hours or so to charge up the darn thing so I will have to do the rest tomorrow morning. I did use our cheap push mower a bit too and after my legs, arm and back are all killing me.

I have tried looking for a pic of our lawnmower online but I couldn't find any but I did find tons of complaints about it. We really do research on stuff before we buy them but at the time we really needed a mower.

Oh I forgot to add that we also bought an other battery for it about 3 years ago but the one that came with it died and wouldn't charge up anymore. Those batteries aren't cheap either. At the time it cost $99 plus tax.

If anyone are even thinking of buying those Yardworks 24 V mower I would suggest you don't. They are not worth the money.
