MY THOUGHTS

I watched The Disappointments Room last night it did make me keep guessing if the house is haunted or if it is all in Dana's mind.  

I was entertained in most parts of this movie but I found the ending not the best ending and I didn't really have any questions answered. Yes, this movie is a horror mystery but it really would have been nice to have those questions answered.

I give The Disappointments Room a 3 out of 5.

MY THOUGHTS

My husband and I watched this the other day. I am not a Star Wars fan but I very much enjoyed this show. 

It is cute, fun and it is funny.  Lots of action in the episodes that will be keeping you and children entertained all throughout the entire season. 

If you have a child who loves Star Wars then they will like this.  I think even some adult fans will like this as well.

However, even as Sully was being heralded by the public and the media for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation and his career.

“Sully” also stars Aaron Eckhart (“Olympus Has Fallen,” “The Dark Knight”) as co-pilot, Jeff Skiles, and Oscar nominee Laura Linney (“The Savages,” “Kinsey,” Showtime’s “The Big C”) as Sully’s wife, Lorraine Sullenberger. 

Eastwood directed the film from a screenplay by Todd Komarnicki, based on the book Highest Duty by Sullenberger and Jeffrey Zaslow. The project was produced by Eastwood, Frank Marshall, Allyn Stewart and Tim Moore, with Kipp Nelson and Bruce Berman serving as executive producers.

MY THOUGHTS

I really wasn't going to watch this movie because it isn't something I usually like but this one really sounded interesting so I gave it a chance.

My husband and I watched this movie last night and we both enjoyed it. 

If you are looking for a good movie that is based on true events I do highly recommend this movie.

Morgan Movie Review

MY THOUGHTS

This movie sounded good so I decided to watch it. I don't usually watch Sci-fi thrillers because I am very picky in this genres of movies but this one sounded interesting so I decided to give it a chance.

I am glad I watched this one because I very much enjoyed Morgan. It is very well done and it has good pacing and the story is good. Only downside is I wish there was a bit more back story to it. It can be a little confusing. But the ending, though!!

I do give this 3 1/5 out of 5 stars.

MY THOUGHTS

I have seen this movie twice. Once in theater and once as soon as I received this movie on Blu-ray,DVD, and digital copy combo pack and I loved the movie both times I have seen it.

This movie does have its issues and for me, the main issue is that the trailers make it look like The Joker would have a bigger part in this movie. I so wanted to see more of him but unfortunately, we didn't.  I just hope we get to see more in the future. 

I personally think all the actors did a great job.  I am a huge Harley Quinn fan and I think that Margot Robbie did a fantastic job.  

I am very impressed with this movie and found it very entertaining.  

I do highly recommend this movie. 

I give this 4 out of 5 just because I wish The Joke had a bigger roll in this one.

Well, I have a Japanese subscription box to review. This time I am reviewing Tokyo Treats and I have to say I just couldn't wait to open this box because it has been a while since I reviewed snack boxes.

Every month you receive a little book and there are pages dedicated to what are in the boxes. If you bought the small box you get the top row if you bought the regular box you get the top 2 rows and if you bought the premium box you get everything on the list. 

There are 3 different Tokyo Treats boxes you can get. You can get the small box which has 5 to 7 candies for $14.99USD, the regular box which has 8 to 12 full-size candies or snacks for $24.99USD and the premium box has 13 to 17 candies or snacks (that includes 1 DIY kit and a drink and a special item) for $34.99. Free shipping worldwide.

I received the premium box and here is what we got in November:

Calbee seaweed & salt chips. Both my husband and I were a little scared to try these but we were quite surprised because we actually liked then.

Tohato Caramel Corn Apple Pie Flavour.  I have tried Tohate Caramel Corn before but had never tried the apple pie flavour one. Both my husband and I loved these and we just couldn't stop eating them. This really did taste like apple pie!

Shiekix Mikan Gummy.  These were so sour.  I don't mind sour candies but these were too sour for my liking. 

Umaitama-Chocolate is bite size cream buff balls filled with chocolate cream. I love these

Genji Pie these are cookies that I enjoyed. They are very sweet.

Pocky Soft Milk Flavour.  Can't go wrong with Pocky!!  I love every Pocky I have tried so far and I do love these

BAKE Limited Edition Sweet Potato Flavour. I am not a fan of sweet potato so I wasn't sure about this one before I tried it but I didn't even taste the sweet potato. It was very good.

Re-ment Omusubi-kororin Mascot. This was a special item. It isn't a snack but you could put these on a keychain. It isn't something I would use personally but I am sure some of you would like that. 

Fujiya Nectar Peach Juice. I love this and I wish I could get these here in Canada.

Kinako Stick is a semi-soft chewy candy that is covered with roasted soybean flour. Again I wouldn't sure about this one but I actually liked it. It had a nutty flavour to it. 

Whistle Ramune. I have received one of these in a subscription box before but I don't mind because they are good and fun.  These come with a little toy too.

Chocolate Pie Bar . This is so good. Its light and flaky crust with chocolate inside. 

Mayotara . Personally I was not a fan of this. This is dried taro fish snack that has the chewy texture of beef jerky. It comes with mayonaise.  I am very picky with fish so I did not try it yet. I might later if I can get the courage to try it. 

Bake Sweet Potato Yokan. This one wasn't for me 

Morinaga Milk Caramel- I have had this one in a subscription box before but I don't mind because they are so yummy

Coris Fruit & Vegetable Shop Chewing Candy. This is an easy DIY kit. All you do is put the candy in the molds and you get candies that look like vegetables and fruits.  The candies are very sweet but I still liked them. 

What do I think? Well, like any other Japanese subscription boxes I have tried so far there have been a few things I didn't like but I expected that so it wasn't a surprise to find at least 2 things I didn't like but I do love trying new candies and snacks so for me Tokyo Treats is fantastic. The price is decent too expecially with the free shipping worldwide.  If you live in Canada you know shipping is expensive.

Do I recommend this? Yes I do so if you love to try Japanese candies and snacks you will love Tokyo Treats

Today I am sharing a different subscription box. I figured I would review something for my husband for a change so here it is.

Harrison Blake Apparel is a monthly subscription for the dapper gentleman. Each box will contain a necktie and 4 additional accessories (e.g. pocket squares, lapel pins,  etc.) Each of these items is exclusive only to Harrison Blake Apparel with a logo of their brand on them. 

This subscription box is $25 per month. If you purchase 6 months it is $21 per month and if you purchase a year it is $18 per month.

The Low Impact Foldaway Strider Review

If you are looking for a low impact foldaway strider for yourself or to give someone for Christmas I found a good one that isn't so expensive .

I was looking through Hammercher Schlemmer's website and found this The Low Impact Foldaway Strider.

This is  exercise strider  provides a cardiovascular workout that’s gentle on joints and folds for convenient storage. Available only from Hammacher Schlemmer.

The strider uses pedals and handlebars that slide back and forth in a smooth, natural striding motion, providing a simultaneous upper- and lower-body exercise regimen without putting unnecessary stress on joints or ligaments. 

This exercise strider doesn't need to be plugged in and it folds to half it's set up size in less than a minute and you can store it under a bed or in a closet.

When you take it out of the box it is very easy to set up and you don't need any tools.  It took me less than 20 minutes to take it out of the box and set it up. 

You don't have to plug it in (works on your own power so it is very quiet. 

I have been using it almost every day for the past 2 weeks and I am really impressed with this strider. I do have bad ankles but using this strider  isn't has bad on my ankles as if I was using a threadmill. It is lower power impact but you still get quite a workout.  

It comes with an LCD panel shows heart rate, calories burned, steps taken and elapsed time.

I have my strider set up in the livingroom so I watch tv while I am using it .  

All in all this strider is a good one for the price of $299.95.


I do recommend this and I think it would make a fantastic Christmas gift.

MY THOUGHTS

I only had the chance to play this game on Saturday but I did play for an hour and from the time I have been playing Earth's Dawn I very much enjoyed this game even though this game isn't really something I would usually play.

My only complaint is that this game is a little repetitive but I do find it fun. 

I give this game 3 out of 5.
