Straight Up: Short Bedtime Stories Easy Reading by Rachel A. Frias

Very well written book with a bunch of short stories that are 2 or 3 pages  which it perfect to read on the bus or waiting at the doctor's office and perfect for bed.
I read this yesterday afternoon and read the rest in bed last night and I very much enjoyed the stories.

If you are looking for a quick and easy read I think you might like this one.
You can purchase this book in amazon.com

I give this 4 out of 5

*I was given a free copy of this book for my honest review*

  1. Hi:

After presenting "Short Bedtime Stories, Easy Reading" at an author event for these two books, at the Elting Memorial Library in New Paltz, NY, I got a standing ovation after reading two stories: one from volume 1 and another from volume 2.
The audience felt warm and liked the slide presentation, as well as the explanations given to audience questions. Refer to http://www.authorsden.com/rachelafrias for more info!!!

  2. Very thought-provoking book. Even though the stories are fiction, I think that many of these stories could be suitable for some high school and college level courses. The stories are only a few pages long each, which perfect for the person on the go. I especially thought "Helena's Greek Spring" was intriguing and could not stop thinking about the topic long after I had finished the story. I am looking forward to reading volume 2!

  3. After presenting at Pleasant Valley Free Library on a Monday at 7pm (avoid this day for events) which was a rainy day...I read to my faithful support group, and I got laughs from the audience while reading "The Spanish Squeeze," -even I got enthused as to what I had written and got a laugh too- ha, ha, ha. Peter said the images where visible to him as I read out loud.

  4. Just had an author event at East Fishkill Community Library. Good turn up! and the facility and staff are super friendly. Cindy offered to serve free refreshments and to set it up!
We had a mixer after the two readings, one from "Short Bedtime Stories, Easy Reading" vol. 1 "Straight Up" and the other from vol. 2 "Spice Up"
I got told there is action in my books.
