There are many reasons why I love our neighbourhood .Where we live we have a lot of fast food places ,2 restaurants, a drugstore,a grocery store and a movie theater all about 5 minutes drive from our house and we have a Subway less than 5 minutes walk from our house.
When my husband was deployed last summer I had days I just didn't want to cook, especially since I had to cook for myself (I hate cooking and I hate cooking for just myself even more) so I would head over to Subway to get lunch or dinner. I am glad I am living near a Subway because I would walk there, buy my sub, walk home and then eat it on the patio while reading a good book. And I know if it weren't for the fact that it was near by I probably would have ended up paying a lot of money at a nearby convenient store for food that is not good for me because I don't drive and I really didn't want to go take the bus just to go grab some unhealthy burgers, fries and soft drinks. (And, it turns out they are doing corporate catering in Toronto and elsewhere!)
My husband has been home now since November and I am sad to say that I have not been going to Subway much for some reason but I plan on going there later to grab some lunch.
